There’s nothing like warm tools on a cold morning. | Service Truck Cabinet Heaters

Cabinet heaters keep tools functional and components operational during Canadian winters. The right heater, installed in the proper location, maintains performance year-round and prevents the delays caused by frozen equipment or moisture-damaged tools.

Two Heater Options

We offer two cabinet heater configurations designed for service truck applications:

Diesel Cabinet Heater

Runs directly off the truck fuel tank with high efficiency and high output for heating larger cabinet spaces. This option delivers substantial heat without requiring separate fuel supply or electrical hookups beyond the truck’s existing system.

Coolant Cabinet Heater

Space-saving design with a compact footprint fits in tight service body compartments. This heater taps into the truck’s coolant system, using engine heat to warm cabinet spaces efficiently.

Preventing Moisture and Freeze Damage

Cabinet heat serves multiple functions beyond comfort. Moisture trapped in cabinets overnight condenses on tools, causing rust and corrosion that degrades cutting edges and precision surfaces. Heat circulation drives moisture out, keeping tools dry between job sites.

Cold temperatures also affect hydraulic fluids, lubricants, and battery-powered equipment stored in cabinets. Heated storage maintains these components at temperatures where they function properly first thing in the morning.

Dry Tools on Arrival

Travel home from job sites with wet tools, and cabinet heat dries everything during transport. By morning, tools are ready to use without dealing with frozen moisture or corrosion that started overnight.

This proves particularly valuable for electronic diagnostic equipment, precision measuring tools, and battery-powered devices that don’t tolerate repeated freeze-thaw cycles or moisture exposure.

Installation Considerations

Heater placement matters for effective cabinet warming. Diesel heaters work well for main galley spaces and larger compartments, while coolant heaters excel in confined areas where space is limited. Our installation process ensures proper heat distribution and safe operation integrated with the service body’s existing systems.

Cabinet heaters complement other cold-weather features including the factory cold climate kit available on multifunction power units. Browse our 11 Series Service Body or explore work truck packages with cabinet heating already configured for winter operation.
